Terri arbeitet als Telefonistin bei einer Erotik-Hotline. Sie sehnt sich nach Freiheit und möchte als Englischlehrerin nach Südkorea gehen. Doch hat sie dabei nicht mit dem Widerstand ihrer Familie und Freunde gerechnet, die sie dazu drängen, mit ihrem Freund Sandile zusammenzubleiben. Als der von Liebeskummer geplagte Eugene nachts in ihrer Telefon-Hotline landet, beginnt sich das Blatt zu wenden.
Das Langfilmdebut von Jenna Cato Bass erzählt in Form einer romantischen Komödie von der Utopie einer funktionierenden, multiethnischen Gesellschaft in Südafrika.

JENNA CATO BASS (*1986) is director, scriptwriter and photographer, she lives and works in Cape Town, South Africa. In 2007 she graduated from the AFDA film school in Cape Town. She has directed more than 10 short films and several music videos.[:]
